INSIDE THE BEATLES FAMILY TREE is the result of more than ten years of research by experienced genealogist, social historian and author, Richard A Edmunds, with input from cousins and relations of the FAB FOUR.

John, Paul, George, and Ringo, their names alone enough to identify them almost anywhere on the planet, from very ordinary beginnings achieved truly extraordinary heights.Together as the Beatles they spearheaded what was to became known as the Merseybeat, a sound, attitude and movement, emerging on the banks of the River Mersey at the beginning of the 1960s, which would rapidly conquer the world with its simple, yet vibrant euphoria, catapulting them to an enduring super stardom.

Past Beatles biographers have tended to skim over their family roots, or filled a vacuum of knowledge, by utilising scant and woefully inadequate earlier published accounts. As a result, a variety of tales, often belonging firmly to urban mythology rather than serious academic research, have been told, and retold, time and again. This work redresses that very real lack of knowledge, replacing the fiction with fact. By beginning from scratch, researching the original documentary evidence in the archives, the author had slowly but surely reconstructed their genealogy and history, both within the city of Liverpool, and further beyond.

100% Unofficial fan publication, created for educational and research purposes, utilising facts available in the public domain, in no way linked to The Beatles, Apple Corps Ltd, any related organisations or any members of The Beatles or their representatives.

In memory of the late John Lennon and George Harrison any profits arising from the sale of this first edition will be donated to the National Foundation for Youth Music.
